Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold review
A lighter foldable with IP68 and bright dual displays

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is a premium foldable defined by two bright displays (up to 3,600 nits), the Tensor G6 chip, 16 GB of RAM, IP68 protection and a capable triple camera with 5x optical zoom. It suits people who want a normal-sized phone when closed and an 8-inch tablet screen when open, and who accept a thicker body and average battery life in return.

Design and Build
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is lighter and thinner than the previous generation, at 239 g and 10.1 mm folded. The Amazon listing describes a lighter composite back, scratch-resistant glass and an all-new hinge. IP68 means dust-tight and submersible, which is rare for a foldable.
Closed, it is 76 mm wide, which feels like a regular phone. It is still thicker than a slab phone, so check the pocket test before you buy.
Display
There are two screens. The 6.5-inch cover display is the one you use most: it is a normal-shaped phone screen at 1080 × 2342. Open the phone and you get an 8-inch inner display at 2076 × 2152, which is nearly square, so video shows with bars and apps fill it well.
Both panels reach up to 3,600 nits and run at 1–120 Hz. Launch coverage says the crease is significantly reduced compared with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. A crease is still present, and you can see it at an angle in bright light.
Cover Screen and Inner Screen
Use the cover screen for calls, messages, navigation and quick photos. Open the phone when you want to read, watch, edit documents or run two apps side by side.
- Tabletop mode: half-open, the phone stands on its own for hands-free video and video calls.
- Multitasking: two apps side by side, or a floating window, on the inner display.
Performance and software
Tensor G6 with 16 GB of RAM handles daily use, multitasking and on-device Gemini features. The Titan M3 security chip protects sensitive data. Google promises 7 years of OS and security updates.
Launch coverage says large system updates install much faster than before, which cuts the time the phone is out of use.
Camera
The cameras match the regular Pixel 11 rather than the Pro: a 48 MP main camera, a 10.8 MP 5x telephoto and a 10.5 MP ultra-wide, all with Google's computational photography. The Amazon listing mentions up to 30x digital zoom. Strong 5x optical zoom is unusual on a foldable. There is no Pro-level zoom beyond that.
Video records at up to 4K, 60 fps on the rear cameras. The listing also describes Night Sight for low light.
Battery and Charging
Battery capacity is quoted differently by different sources, from about 4,650 to 4,850 mAh. The Amazon listing says 4,750 mAh. Expect a full day of mixed use, which is adequate for the size, but not outstanding. Charging is 30W wired and 25W magnetic wireless with Pixelsnap, and a full charge takes roughly 80–90 minutes.
Which Version to Buy: 256 GB Olive or 1 TB Obsidian
Both versions have the same 16 GB of RAM, the same chip and the same cameras. The differences are storage and color.
| Version | Storage | Color | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 256 GB Olive | 256 GB | Olive | Most people: enough space for apps, photos and downloaded video, and a distinctive color |
| 1 TB Obsidian | 1 TB | Obsidian | Heavy 4K video shooters, offline media libraries and people who keep a phone for many years |
You cannot add storage later, because there is no memory card slot. If you shoot a lot of 4K video or keep large offline libraries, buy more storage now. Check Amazon for the current price of each.
What Is in the Box
- Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold phone
- 1 m USB-C cable (USB 2.0)
- Quick Start Guide
- SIM tray ejector
There is no charger in the box, so you need a USB-C charger of 30W or more for full-speed wired charging, or a Qi2-compatible charger for wireless charging.
Connectivity and Accessories
The Fold is unlocked. The Amazon listing says it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and other major carriers. It supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6 and NFC, and has a USB-C port and no headphone jack. The Amazon listing says it uses eSIM.
The listing names Pixel Buds, Pixel Watch, Fitbit trackers, Pixel Tag and other Bluetooth Android devices as compatible. See the [Pixel Watch 4 review](/pixel-watch-4) if you are choosing a watch to go with it.
Pixel HiLight
HiLight is a light bar by the camera that glows softly when the phone is face down, for example when a favorite contact calls or you are talking with Gemini. The Amazon listing calls it exclusive to Pixel 11 Pro phones, which includes the Pro Fold. Launch coverage says it is limited at first to phone calls and Gemini interactions, so do not expect it for every app notification yet.
Amazon Listing Details to Double-Check
The Amazon listing contains several entries that look like data-entry errors. Treat the table below as a reading guide, not as extra specs.
| Listing says | What it most likely means |
|---|---|
| Storage capacity "1 GB" | A typo for 1 TB; the product title says 1 TB |
| Form factor "Bar" | The phone is a foldable, not a bar phone |
| Wireless network technology "AMPS" | AMPS is an obsolete analogue standard; the phone is 5G |
| Headphone jack "USB Type C" | There is no 3.5 mm jack; audio goes through USB-C or Bluetooth |
| Operating system "Android 16" | Other sources say Android 17 |
| Front camera "13 MP" | Spec sheets quote 10 MP on both screens |
| Talk time "24 hours" | A general battery claim, not a tested figure |
